PROJECT DESCRIPTION

With an emphasis on girls and minorities, the Power Girl exhibition provides rich, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in math, science, and literacy. The goal is to empower girls to pursue an interest in math and the sciences.

Power Girl leads children along the exhibit route and teaches them about energy and the production of electricity.

We developed the character, Elena and owner Cindy Couling custom illustrated all the graphics. Each of the illustrations were full scale cutouts that accompanied each step of the exhibit. (There were also some cool info signs for each exhibit, but we’re having trouble extracting the files from our archives! Working on it!)

The illustrations we developed for Power Girl, were also included in an online website used by children and teachers to work in tandem with the educational aspect of the exhibit. (We did not layout the website portion.)
